Seven Springs only resort on the East Coast re-opening

SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. –Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania’s premier resort destination and home of the East Coast’s #1 terrain parks and halfpipe, will re-open for skiing and snowboarding Tues., April 24 at 10 a.m.

The latest snowstorm accumulation has totaled over one-foot. This is the latest date the resort has ever been open for skiing and snowboarding. In 1996, guests skied and snowboarded until April 14.

“We are pleased to offer this opportunity for our guests to experience skiing and snowboarding this late in April,” said Eric Mauck, Chief Executive Officer. “While we were not expecting the amount of snowfall that we received, our team did an outstanding job to allow us to be the only resort to re-open on the East Coast.  Hopefully, this is glimpse of what is to come next season.”

Cortina chairlift and Wagner slope will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Ski/board tickets will be $24 per person. However, Seven Springs will honor 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 season passes. In addition, 2012-13 season passes will be offered at the early purchase price of $429 price Tues., April 24 only.

For the latest snowfall totals and more information, please stay tuned to www.7springs.com or follow Seven Springs on Facebook or Twitter!
