WHAT: Despite receiving nearly two feet of snow from Superstorm Sandy, Seven Springs Mountain Resort will host its Mud on the Mountain adventure race, Sat., Nov. 3, 2012!
The resort’s legendary Seven Springs Mountain Crew used two of their snow cats on Wednesday to shovel the heavy, wet snow from the race course. Additional touch ups to the race course and obstacles will be made throughout the week.
“We made adjustments to the course for the health and safety of all participants. We closed some water obstacles, introduced multiple warming stations, and worked with Mother Nature to create some new, snow-themed obstacles,” added Seven Springs Events Manager Erika Worobec. “We want to remind our participants that all obstacles on the course are optional. If you do not feel comfortable taking on any of the obstacles, you are encouraged to bypass it or stand by and support those who do.”
The course map, photos, registration materials and additional information can be found online at www.mudonthemountain.com.
