The Story
It all began on a run.
“The Original” RunPA®hats were created for some buddies at Hyner. The idea was conceived while training on the trails in Mt. Gretna. The very first hats actually made were handed out before the race. Afterwards, Matt Lipsey who was already showered and changed after his win was given a lid. Eric Marshall liked what he saw and he scored one as well. The remainders were sold via a cardboard sign with a sharpie that read, "$10 or whatever you think they're worth." RunPA®was officially born.
Those 24 "original" hats were photographed and shared across social media. Lipsey, to this day, refuses to wear another RunPA®hat. After the shares, the questions were asked, "Where did you get that hat?!" That led to the first RunPA®Etsy Store that served its basic purpose, followed by a website RunPA.org and then a full professional online retail shop and the ever popular RunPA® Mobile Swag Shop!
The RunPA®Mobile Swag Shop allowed us to take the show on the road and set up our store at events and that is where we met Mary Arnold who told me about the November Project meet up that was happening at the Runners World Half in Bethlehem. That is where we were connected to Suzanne Allaire who works at Runners World and this is where it starts to get nutty.. somebody wore the RunPA®Dreamsicle hat to work at Runners World and from there they requested one of our shirts for their June article…which made it to print!!! How Awesome!!!
Since then, we have met SO many great people. The running community has some of the most honest and genuine people we have ever met. RunPA®continues to grow and develop new ideas and designs based on what Pennsylvania runners want.
From RunPA®we have expanded our brands to continue with the love of the outdoors and the ability to recreate in the Keystone State. Our brand has grown to include RunPA Kids™, RidePA™, HikePA™ and bEAST Coast Runners™.
All of our designs, logos and more are created and printed right here in PA!
We love seeing pics of everyone repping the Keystone State all over the world. It's truly amazing when we think back to how it all began. Be sure to share your adventures with us and thank you for the continued support!

*RunPA.org is a for profit LLC. The .org designation is no longer specifically designated for non-profits. While saying that we continue to donate to local clubs, environmental organizations, and members of trail organizations.
Portions of every sale go directly to fund our RunPA Kids programs that provide FREE outdoor activities for children of all abilities to have an opportunity to recreate outdoors.
Portions of every sale and or event are donated to local like-minded outdoor clubs and organizations providing outdoor recreation opportunities, farm and land conservation and more.
